The owner of this Honda Integra Type R came to us looking to give it a major overhaul after many years of being mistreated by previous owners.
The Wash
1st the car was treated to some all purpose cleaner to lift and remove any road traffic film, then Devils Blood fallout remover was sprayed liberally on all wheels and bodywork to remove industrial fallout and brake dust, some impressive colour change photos below showing industrial fallout being removed. Autobrite direct magifoam snow foam was then applied via a snow foam lance to all panels and wheel arches and left to dwell. Once rinsed I treated the car to wash with Autobrite Direct gauntlet wash mitt and Autofinesse lather using a 2 bucket wash method with grit guards. All panels were dried using Autobrite hell shine reaper drying towels the best drying towel on the market in my opinion. Once dried all panels were clayed using a fine grade clay to lift any last bonded contaminates and then wiped down with an IPA solution.
The Correction
I rolled the car inside and switched on the lights to reveal some heavily oxidised paint as well as heavy swirls and other defects. 1st stage of machine polishing was done with a hex logic Yellow Cutting pad and then stepped down with a Green Polishing Pad to remove the oxidisation and swirls using Meguairs M105 compound. Stage 2 was done using a black hex logic pad and Meguairs 205 ultra fine finishing polish to enhance the gloss and give a really warm wet looking shine. All panels were given another IPA wipedown to ensure all oils and polish residue have been removed giving the best surface for protection layers to bond to.
The Protection
Two Coats of Fusso Soft coat 12 month sealant were applied to give maximum protection and lock in that deep glossy shine. Alloys were sealed with poorboys sealant and tyres were given a coat of endurance tyre gel.
